Mikołaj “Elazer” Ogonowski went to Burbank, located in the state of California on Friday. All this was done in order to mitigate the effects of the jet-lagging as much as possible and to prepare for the World Championship Series on Sunday.
Our 21-year-old Zerg racer came in fifth in the third group stage, defeating Julian “Lambo” Brosig, Artem “Rail” Avramenko and Tobias “ShoWTimE” Sieber.
Because of his place in the online competition, Elazer had the most matches to play in front of him, as the playoffs took place in the King of the Hill system. His first opponent after arriving in the United States was the same race representative of the Italian Team QLASH.
The first two maps were stolen by a representative of the Hawks. Elazer played Lambo and already it seemed that he would be promoted to the next round. Unfortunately, this did not happen. The German led to the equalization of the result and then beat Elazer, 3:2.
The World Championship Series Winter tournament ended in sixth place for Mikołaj “Elazer” Ogonowski. Our Starcraft 2 rider returned to Poland with $3,000 and 575 WCS Circuit points, which are necessary to get promoted to the World Championship.
